KATS Swimming Program

The heart of the KATS program is the swimming classes, and all other classes fall inline after a student learns how to swim.

The KATS program was developed back in the late 1980's when several young children lost their lives because of their lack of knowing how to swim in a boating accident off the shores of St. John, U.S.V.I.

Children from the age of five years old are accepted into the program to learn how to swim. The cost of the classes is minimal, and if a participating family cannot afford the fees, a sponsor is located to cover the costs for the child to learn how to swim.

No one is turned away! The schedule of classes offered varies during the time of the year, and the locations also vary where KATS has access to local pools.
